Venus and the Matildas
Venus has been moving about in all sorts of ways, namely retrograding, but this is coming to an end soon. I am sure you have felt the effects of her planetary travels and seen changes in the world and in people around you. You may have seen partnerships ending, relationships changing, and huge heart openings… such as what we have seen with our local soccer playing team of women!
The Matildas opened Australia’s heart to women (Venus) on the global stage and shone the light on them (Leo) in a male-dominated sport (retrograde). This could not be more evident in Venus In Retrograde energies. She showed us the shadow and has dawned a new day just as she goes from being a night star to a morning star.
The nation mostly opened its hearts to these incredible women who have been largely toiling away for decades without much recognition. The Divine Feminine/Goddess was shown to be strong, powerful, capable, compassionate, and fierce; and celebrated for this! Venus in Leo!
Virgo Season Starts August 23rd – September 22nd, 2023
Let’s breathe a collective sigh of relief and take our shoes off and wiggle our toes in the beautiful Earth. Virgo is an Earth sign and after all that fire and water (Leo & Cancer) it feels nice to get grounded.
It is a great time to trust your instincts and move with the flow of clairsentience. Virgo loves organisation, is a hard worker, and perfectionism reigns supreme. How about this Virgo season you pull back on the perfectionism and just wiggle your toes on the Earth.
Mercury Retro in Virgo August 23rd – September 15th, 2023
Mercury will go Retro soon and is currently deep in its shadow period. There will be six planets in Retro through the last weeks of August so if you are feeling a bit ‘I just can’t…’ You are definitely feeling the energy.
The good news is that this Mercury Retro does not feel as strong as it often can be. There is a Cazimi (Mercury as close to the Sun as it gets) in September which brings lovely mind/self/work energy of personal inspiration and epiphanies will abound! This is a two-day energy and a great time to brainstorm whatever it is that lights you up. I am looking at the aspects and September 3rd - September 7th is a really nice time to seek epiphanies and greater wisdom. As always, tie up your camel. Back up your computer this time, seriously! Do it!
Look out for:
Mishaps in communication and logistics
Attention to detail (lack of, or too much).
Micromanaging.
Having to have it YOUR way. Let go of control, the Earth with still turn.
Hold off on launching big things (if possible).
Don’t overthink - Mercury will have you in loops on the details (Virgo).
Practical solutions (the obvious way may not be the best way).
Tech creating havoc. Double-check communication through tech.
Don’t sign a contract if you can help item and hold off on big tech purchases.
Do this:
Re-organise. It is a great time to sort that Tupperware/sock draw.
Meditate and clear your mind as much as possible.
Move your body, it will relax your mind.
Have a plan B. Notoriously, we need a little extra time, room for re-focusing, and the ability to pivot at this time.
Trust your gut feelings
Reflect on the past month or so. Wins? Losses? Mehs?
Full + Super + Blue + Moon + Pisces = more strong energies…
This is the second Super Moon in the month of August, so expect the ride to continue. Saturn is strong in this Full Moon in Pisces and that means putting on your big person pants. Hello Boundaries. Pisces brings a feeling of just wanting to let it go and not worry. That includes letting go of people pleasing…
Saturn wants you to sure-up boundaries and look deeply into what is happening around and take responsibility for what is yours. (I know this is right because I don’t even want to write it, third eye roll). It’s bit of a cluster fuck actually, because Pisces wants us to fall into unconditional love and take the higher Spiritual ground.
Saturn wants us to face the lessons and complete with more certainty what was happening at the first Super Full Moon at the start of August.
If you know what house Pisces is in on your birth chart this will bring you the themes that will be most activated for you around this Full Moon. For example, Pisces is in my third house which is the house of neighbours, siblings, communication, driving, talking, curiosity and nearby environment, and how we think. So I can expect themes of boundaries around these issues and some enhanced (moon) discussions/communication with siblings and neighbours (blergh).
